Lola Loves... TV: Confessions of a TV Addict

It's no secret that I love TV. In my heart of hearts I am a lazy girl, again not a secret, and I love nothing more than settling down with some snacks for a good, long Netflix binge (Sidenote: Netflix is basically the best thing ever!) With that in mind I thought I'd throw together a list of my fave shows so you'll never be at a loss for good TV again. Aren't I nice?

The Comedies

Let's start with my absolute favourite genre. Now obviously there are the classics: Friends, Scrubs & Frasier, that I whack on when I want a laugh but don't necessarily need to pay attention because I know them so well. I used to love How I Met Your Mother until they DESTROYED the series with the final episode, whatevs I'm over it (I'm not over it).

Then there's the newer ones that I've banged on about time and time again but are still chuckle inducing. Brooklyn 99, Modern Family, New Girl, The Mindy Project, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Big Bang Theory etc. all come under this category. All funny, all awesome and all current faves of mine.

And then we have the game changers I'm talking about the comedies that are so unbelievably funny that they've achieved cult status, including, deep breaths everyone, The Office US, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Arrested Development, Scrubs (also comes under this category because it's amazeballs!), Parks and Recreation & 30 Rock to name but a few. These are the ones I've always got queued up on my Netflix because they're my faves. All are stomach cramp inducingly hilarious, super quotable and feature some truly amazing actors. They are just so good.

The Dramas

I'll be quick Breaking Bad, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder and House are amazing. Gripping, well written and superbly acted. I've also got one hell of a to watch list including Orange is the New Black, Gray's Anatomy, Game of Thrones, Once Upon a Time and Outlander.

The Realities

My biggest guilty pleasure is reality TV, I have no defence for it other than it's quite fun to watch. My favourites are Gogglebox, Made in Chelsea, Geordie Shore and I'm a Celebrity. Also recently I've gotten into Tattoo Fixers which is incredible and definitely worth a watch if only to see some of the awful things people have willingly had tattooed on themselves and also see the glorious handsomeness that is Jay the tattooist (pictured). Mother may I?

So it's pretty clear from this that I definitely need to get myself some kind of life... I'm working on it. Anyway what are your TV favourites?
