The last couple of months has seen me jetting off all over the place, it's been incredible! Seriously, dream come true, beyond all realms of imagination incredible.  I absolutely adore the fact that I'm getting to see the world and going to these incredible places, but I can't say I'm the biggest fan of the actual act of travelling...then again who is? It's not so much fear, I'm not a particularly nervous flyer or anything, it's all the waiting around, it's just so boring. And being bored in duty free is dangerous. Here's just some of the damage I've done in the past couple of months.

Lancôme Grandiose Waterproof Extreme Mascara - £26 at feelunique

Lancôme's Grandiose Waterproof mascara has been one of my absolute favourite purchases of the year so far, and it was an accident (read more about that here). Beautiful packaging aside - not too far aside, it is gorgeous! - it's a really good everyday mascara, and that's how often I've been wearing it.  It features a plastic brush and an inky black formula that really clings to the lashes for a wide-eyed, fluttery look. It's very lengthening and defining and it holds a curl really well. The swan neck is a revelation, reaching even the most tucked away lashes in the inner corners. I seriously cannot stress how much I like this mascara.

Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara - £25 at feelunique

While we're on the subject of mascaras that I love, I have to give a shout out to Estée Lauder's Sumptuous Extreme Mascara which I picked up in Cologne Airport. Man, this mascara really packs a punch! This is my favourite mascara for dramatic eyes, because it really lifts and curls the lashes, whilst adding a ton of volume. It features a chunky, triangular fibre brush and a super black formula that stays in place all day. My one and only gripe with it is that it does start to flake towards the end of the day, but other than that it's pretty darn perfect.

MAC Liptensity in Medium Rare - £17.50 from MAC

I've mentioned this a few times lately, read more about it here, not only is it a beautiful lipstick with a dreamy texture and reasonable wear time, but it also holds a very special place in my heart.  I bought Medium Rare in Copenhagen Airport after I interviewed Helena Christensen. I will honestly never forget that day, it was truly amazing, and this lipstick always reminds me of it.

Nuxe's Rêve De Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm - £9.50 at feelunique

I can never resist a lipbalm, seriously I've bought two this week alone, so when I saw Nuxe's Rêve de Miel at Cologne Airport I just had to have it. There is a lot of hype surrounding this particular product, Rêve de Miel has become something of a cult classic in recent years. It's been everywhere. Now whilst I completely agree that £9.50 is pretty steep for a lip balm, even in duty free it was still pretty pricey, I'm going to argue that it's worth it. Here's why, it is incredibly hydrating. Now this seems like a pretty basic requirement for a lip balm, but I get really dry lips, my top lip in particular can get really chapped and crusty... sexy.  Designed to hydrate parched lips, this lipbalm is incredibly nourishing, with a rich, thick consistency that almost instantly soothes and moisturises. It contains boasts honey, grapefruit essence, honey and shea butter and smells incredible. I can totally see why this has such a huge online presence because I'm obsessed!

Lancôme Grandiose Eyeliner - £23 at feelunique

Developed by the Queen that is Lisa Eldridge this eyeliner is truly one of the best I've encountered. Being something of a liquid liner connoisseur I know what I like and this eyeliner ticks all the boxes. Not only does it have beautiful packaging, which sidenote is also very fun to play with, but it has a fine pen like nib that creates the perfect wing. Its formulation is on point and its lasting power is incredible. I genuinely believe it could last forever if it really wanted too. It even gives my beloved Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner a run for its money. If that doesn't tell you how much I like it I don't know what will.

Tom Ford Velvet Orchid - £78.50 for 50ml at John Lewis

I'm a big fan of Tom Ford's Black Orchid perfume, read more about here. It's spicy, sexy and still detectable hours later. It is one of my absolute favourite winter/going out fragrances. BUT after sniffing them side by side at Stansted airport Velvet Orchid stole my heart and I had to have it. It's more subtle than Black Orchid, with  the same base notes of suede and sandalwood, without the depth and slight headiness. It's has sweeter top notes of mandarin, rose and honey. It smells divine and has incredibly wear time, it really lingers on the skin.  I love it.
